Expanding the Network of Directors’ Hubs

In 2019, the first Directors’ Hub was born, bringing business leaders together to connect, share experiences, and navigate the challenges of running their own companies. Originally launched in Hurstpierpoint, Founder Sonny Cutting chose to hold the first meetings at the Grand Hotel, but parking was an issue in Brighton, so it was moved to the Marina at the chic Malmaison hotel.

This setting offered a central location with a vibrant atmosphere, and for a time, it worked well as a venue. However, as word spread, the Directors’ Hub grew quickly from four to ten members, and the logistical challenges of meeting at the marina began to surface. Many members were based closer to Hurstpierpoint, so in response, Sonny decided to move the Hub back to its roots in Hurst. This change was a success, creating a more convenient and accessible location for the members. The Sportsman was Sonny’s choice after we trialed a few pubs locally.

Since the move, the Directors’ Hub has grown exponentially, establishing multiple Hubs across Sussex, each led by experienced and dedicated business leaders. Here’s a snapshot of  our Hurstpierpoint hub which is the original hub that started it all.

Initially run by Sonny Cutting of Network Xpress, but as the hub expanded locations, Sonny put hub leaders in place to run each hub.

Hub Leader: Paul Dallibar, Gordian Solutions
Paul Dallibar, Director of Gordian Solutions, took the lead as Hurstpierpoint’s Hub Leader, bringing his expertise in strategic business solutions to the role. With Paul’s guidance, the Hurstpierpoint Hub quickly became a place where local directors could build trust, share insights, and seek practical support for business challenges.
