Who founded The Directors’ Hub?
Sonny Cutting founded the hub. He is a serial entrepreneur working in Brighton and living in Hurstpierpoint, meeting new connections through networking events all over Sussex. The Hub is one of the event services of Network Xpress Ltd.
How much does membership cost?
Hub membership is £1,000+VAT a year. You can pay by Direct Debit with GoCardless, interest free, to help manage your cashflow. After five years of membership your rate drops to £750+VAT.
Are meetings face to face or online?
Face to face. In-person meetings foster stronger connections and trust, reduce misunderstandings and lead to better problem-solving than virtual meetings.
How are meetings structured, and how often?
Every month for two hours, whether it’s a lunch hub or a supper club. The format has worked well for five years and is ideal for structured discussions and brainstorming.
Is there a confidentiality agreement?
Yes. Directors often discuss sensitive business information, so every meet-up runs under Chatham House Rules: what’s said at the table stays at the table.
What is the main focus of the hub?
Helping business owners build genuine connections, share challenges and solutions in a trusted setting, and strengthen leadership, resilience and mental wellbeing.
Is the Hub for Sussex businesses only?
At the moment we’re building our portfolio of hubs across Sussex towns and cities.
How do you become a Hub Leader?
Hub Leaders are chosen personally by Sonny. You need to have been a standard member for at least twelve months, so you know the format and what’s expected in the role.
