Netwalking in the Rain
A few months back, we put the fate of our quarterly mystery event to a vote. Axe throwing? Escape room? The suspense was killing us! But the people have spoken, and Netwalking emerged victorious with a resounding 12 votes. So, armed with optimistic weather forecasts (overcast, 35% chance of rain? Psh, no problem!), I set off for our meeting point at Hove Lagoon.
Now, I’ll admit, the rain started the moment I got in the car on Friday 31st January. Visions of me standing forlornly at the lagoon, the only brave soul who dared to venture out, flashed through my mind. But then, a beacon of hope! Chris Cheeseman arrived, followed by Bowen Tan. Three’s a crowd, right?
And so, we embarked on our rainy adventure. We walked from Hove Lagoon to the Palace Pier and back, the conversation flowing as freely as the rain, but as we walked, the clouds dispersed and the sun came out to play. We discussed our ambitious 18-month goals, shared inspiring travel experiences, and generally enjoyed the unexpected camaraderie.
Turns out, a little bit of rain couldn’t dampen our spirits (or our business acumen). In fact, the unexpected challenge added smiles to our netwalking adventure. Who knew that a bit of inclement weather could lead to such great discussions on the Q1 Directors’ Hub netwalking event. We also went for lunch at Rockwater Hove, which is a delightful restaurant venue.
The Q2 mystery event will offer an escape room experience, axe throwing, ten pin bowling or something new! Want to know more? Contact Sonny Cutting, founder on 01273 833 222.
